PNA Board meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday of every month from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Community Education Center located at 4625 N. Trenton. The public is welcome to attend. Check the calendar for changes.

• 8/7/10 CRIME UPDATE: The Portland Police have notified us that they have caught a cat burglar responsible for several robberies in our area.
• 8/1/10 CRIME ALERT: There have been three home burglaries in the early morning and one car theft in the past 2 months in the area one block north of Columbia Park. The North Portland Crime Prevention Coordinator, Mark Wells, has put out this bulletin.
• 7/21/10 CRIME ALERT: Have you seen this woman? The Portland Police has identified this woman as a scammer involved in criminal activity in our neighborhood. Please contact the police if you see her.

• 7/1/10 the North/Northeast Economic Development Commission released their final report (1.6 MB) that outlines how Lombard Street and other areas will be included in the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area (ICURA)

• 6/15/10 Bridge Meadows, an intergenerational neighborhood for adoptive families of foster children, celebrated with a Ground breaking Ceremony at the former John Ball School site attended by over 200 people. They plan to complete construction by early 2011.

• 5/19/10 The North/Northeast Economic Development Initiative Community Advisory Committee voted to include the south side of Lombard bordering the Portsmouth Neighborhood into the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area (ICURA).   If City Council and the Portland Development Commission (PDC) approve the expansion, then businesses on the south side of Lombard would be eligible for city grants. Additionally, it potentially enables a Lombard Streetscape.

• 2/12/10 - The Lombard Branding Committee consisting of the Portsmouth and University Park Neighborhood Associations, the University of Portland and the North Portland Business Association have agreed to name the portion of Lombard from Columbia Park to the rail road bridge (near Fred Meyer) "University Park District." The group is working with the Mayor's office to make this official.
• 2/3/10 - Greg Wilhelm of the PNA and Fletcher Trippe of the University Park Neighborhood Association testified at the North/Northeast Study to include the south side of Lombard into the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area (ICURA).   If the south side of Lombard is included, then those businesses on that side of the street would be eligible for Portland Development Commission Grants. Additionally, it enables our neighborhood to get a streetscape make over (like Kenton). Greg Wilhelm's presentation is available here. • 1/1/10 The Portland Police launched a new web based crime reporting system accessible at www.portlandpolice.com This brief summary describes the service.
